We’re happy (and hungry) to announce details of our next Friends for Wellbeing event: a nutrition talk!
On 1st July the Clifton Library on Princess Victoria Street, Bristol, will host a talk on the impact nutrition and food can have on our health and wellbeing. We will also discuss how to positively address imbalances and recurring problems through diet.
To book your place to attend our Nutrition talk in Bristol, please visit our Eventbrite page!
Are you stuck trying to lose weight? Perhaps you have a long term illness or deficiency that you want to address naturally through your diet? Our Nutrition Lead Helen Cooke can help!
Find out more about Helen Cooke here.
As well as speaking about the role of nutrition in good health and wellbeing, Helen will give an overview of the Portland Centre’s nutrition approach – the Portland Pyramid – and explain the health benefits of the different categories (including which oils and types of fibre are best). She will also give an introduction to the amazing health benefits of beneficial bacteria and how we can introduce these into our daily diet.
Helen will be sure to allow plenty of opportunity for discussion and there will be a 20 minute Q&A slot.
